InvestEU Microfinance Window: €350M Allocated for 2026-2027

The European Investment Fund (EIF) confirmed on 28 May 2026 the allocation of €350 million from the InvestEU SME Window to support microfinance and social enterprise finance over the 2026-2027 period.

The envelope will be deployed through three instruments:
• Guarantee Instrument (€220M) — covering up to 80% of MFI portfolios in eligible categories
• Equity & Quasi-Equity Instrument (€90M) — direct investments in scaling MFIs
• Capacity Building (€40M) — TA for MFI institutional strengthening

First calls for expression of interest open 15 July 2026. EMN will host a webinar on 30 June to walk members through eligibility criteria and application steps.
